Hammer & Torque: an experienced mechanic, welder and fabricator specialising in the maintenance, repair and rebuilding of pre-1980s cars and motorbikes. Having worked with a range of the biggest names in the British and American motor industry for over a decade, Hammer & Torque offer specialist knowledge and expertise to keep your pride and joy in top condition all year round. Based at a secure workshop in the heart of Essex with easy access from the A12, A13 and M25, Hammer & Torque are ready to help with any issue - big or small - with on site welding and fabrication in addition to general servicing and mechanical services.
Hammer and Torque are in the process of a total custom rebuild of my ‘77 iron head. So far, they have fabricated new front engine mounts; switched out to a wassel tank and changed the outlets and mounts; custom oil tank fabricated to fill a weird gap in the frame I wasn’t keen on; fitted some new machined steel risers and TIG welded and brushed these; switched out the rabbit ear bars for mid ape hangers; new battery tray fabricated and CDS tube cut and notched to strengthen the frame around the previously pretty flimsy mount. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with this project.
